3 cups mini pretzels
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Flaky sea salt, optional
Colorful M&Ms, optional

Preparation
Preheat oven to 350℉. Line a rimmed baking tray with parchment paper.
Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on the baking tray.
Combine the butter, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla in a small saucepan. Melt over medium heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil for 3-4 minutes until the toffee becomes thickened and glossy.
Immediately pour the liquid toffee over the pretzels. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
Place the toffee-covered pretzels in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until they are bubbling all over.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the toffee. Bake for an additional 3-5 minutes, then use a spatula to spread the chocolate over the toffee.
Immediately top with M&Ms and flaky sea salt, if desired. Chill in the refrigerator until the toffee is firm and the chocolate is set.
Break into rustic pieces and store in an airtight container.
