Draco Malfoy Almond Blondies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, browned

  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ cup sliced almonds

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉. Line an 8x8 glass baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the browned butter and both sugars. If warm, allow to cool for a few minutes. Add the egg and both extracts. Whisk well.

  3. Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Add the dry mixture â…“ at a time to the wet mixture and whisk until fully combined.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and evenly spread. Sprinkle the sliced almonds on top and gently press down into the batter.

  5. Bake the blondies in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the edges are set and a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan. Cut and serve. Enjoy!
