Preparation
In a food processor fitted with the blade attachment, add chickpeas, shallots, garlic, parsley, and seasoning. Pulse 4-5 times, then scrape down the sides. Repeat until everything is well-combined and crumbly.
Add chickpea mixture to a medium mixing bowl and add sesame seeds and flour. Mix well then tightly cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.Â
Line a baking tray with aluminum foil, lightly greased, and set aside. Preheat oven to 400℉.
Remove chickpea mixture from refrigerator. Scoop 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture into your hand and form into a ball. Gently press down to create a patty. Repeat with the remaining mixture.Â
Sprinkle bread crumbs over the patties, gently pressing the crumbs down. Flip patties and repeat on the other side.
Place falafel patties on the lined baking tray. Drizzle with oil or spray with cooking spray. Bake in preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.Â
Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
