Perfect Popovers

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs, room temperature

  • 1½ cups whole milk, room temperature

  • ¾ teaspoon salt

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Preparation

  1. Position oven rack to the lower position and remove the middle and upper racks. Preheat oven to 425℉. Generously grease a standard 6-count popover pan and set aside.

  2. In a food processor, add the eggs, milk, and salt. Pulse until combined.

  3. Add flour and pulse until a smooth batter is formed. Add the melted butter and pulse until frothy. Transfer batter into a spouted bowl or large spouted cup.

  4. Pour the batter into the popover pan, only filling the wells â…” full.

  5. Bake the popovers in the preheated oven for 35-40, or until the popovers are deep golden brown. Do not open the oven during the baking process!

  6. Remove the popovers from the oven and immediately poke a small hole on the side to release the steam. Cool in the pan for 3 minutes then take them out. Best served warm with honey butter or garlic butter. Enjoy!
