Gruyere, Bacon, Spinach & Onion Quiche

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen deep dish pie crust, thawed

  • 1 cup smoked gruyere cheese, shredded

  • ½ cup caramelized onion, diced

  • ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped

  • 10 ounces frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained

  • 8 large eggs

  • â…“ cup whole milk

  • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder, to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉.

  2. Using a fork, poke holes along the bottom and sides of the pie crust. Sprinkle half of the cheese on the bottom of the crust.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs, milk, and spices and whisk together until well combined.

  4. Add onion, bacon, and spinach to the egg mixture and stir together using a fork.

  5. Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust and top with remaining cheese. 

  6. Place quiche on a baking tray, and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow the quiche to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.
